Rotherham Golf Club is housed in a beautiful grade two listed building and its original grounds. A club with real character.

What we do here at Rotherham

Here at Rotherham Golf Club we welcome all new Lady members to our club we currently have over 50 playing members in the ladies section which provides plenty of competition for silverware and places in various teams to represent the club., we have a thriving golf and social club, Ladies Day is Wednesday and we meet for coffee before playing in the competition of the day with most staying for lunch afterward. We also hold some competitions at the weekend to encourage the ladies who are still working to engage with our section. There is also a program of mixed golf throughout the year which is well supported.. We also run a Sunday fiddle to encourage new ladies to get to know all the lady members.

Also, we run medal and Stableford competitions at weekends and also have an Invitation day which we all love to bring friends along for a lovely day! We have always run a scratch team, A team, B team which is a great way of experiencing competition, a team of ladies from Rotherham are drawn to play against certain golf clubs in the area, it's great to add an extra element to your game but also nice to meet new people from other golf clubs. We are also members of the Sheffield Union Ladies Golfing Association who organise competitions at various Sheffield Union clubs throughout the year and also run the Sheffield Championships and The Norah Swinscoe Trophy which one of our lady members (Julia) has won four times!

During the summer our Professional Gregg Roberts runs a golf and Curry night on a Thursday which is a great social event, we have monthly quiz nights amongst other great social events. We also have an Indoor golf studio which is great to get the ladies together when the weather is chilly!

Each year we hold two Ladies Open events which can be found under the Opens tab on the home page. We also have a ladies' Facebook page for ladies which is open to all so you can join and discover more about our vibrant social activities. There are several incentives available for ladies wishing to join us and further details of those can be obtained by contacting myself or the lady Secretary.
Wishing you a healthy and happy golfing year!

Lady Captain 2019/20

I’ve been a member of Rotherham Golf Club for twenty-seven years during which time I have represented the club in the Scratch and A teams. I feel extremely fortunate to be a member of a club with such a top-class course and imposing clubhouse.

I’m looking forward to my year as Lady Captain and hope we all enjoy our golf and have lots of fun.
