Hole Eighteen

This is by far the hardest hole on the course and possibly the toughest closing tee shot anywhere, particularly from the back tees. It’s a hole that sums up the Rotherham Golf Club experience. Testing but fair, with a fabulous backdrop of our historic clubhouse and its ha-ha in the background, it’s an enjoyable climax to our lovely course.
“The best route for the big hitter is a draw over the hawthorn bush on the hill that cuts the corner leaving a mid to short iron to the green. Mere mortals should play it as a par 5, taking iron or fairway wood off the tee to the top of the hill.”
